Results of Annual General Meeting 28 May 2009 and retirement of a non-executive
director
Shareholders are advised that, at the Annual General Meeting of Standard Bank
Group held on 28 May 2009, all of the resolutions set out in the Notice of the
Annual General Meeting dated 4 March 2009 were passed by the requisite majority
of shareholders.
Standard Bank Group and The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited announce the
retirement as a director of Elisabeth Bradley. Elisabeth was originally
appointed to the Standard Bank Group`s board in 1986 and to the Standard Bank of
South Africa Limited board in 1997. At the Annual General Meeting the chairman,
Derek Cooper, expressed the boards` appreciation to her for her contribution and
the pivotal role she has played as an independent non-executive director and
wished her well in her retirement.
