SALIENT DATES OF THE RIGHTS OFFER
Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcements dated 10 March and 15 April
2009 in relation to the underwritten rights offer in terms of which Faritec
shareholders will be offered 258.20 shares ("rights offer shares") for every 100
shares held by them on the record date for participation in the rights offer at
a price of 3 cents per rights offer share.
Shareholders will have the right to apply for any excess rights offer shares not
taken up by other shareholders and any such excess shares will be attributed
equitably based on the number of shares held by the shareholder concerned and
the number of excess shares applied for.
Foreign shareholders may be affected by the rights offer, having regard to
prevailing laws in their relevant jurisdictions. Such foreign shareholders
should inform themselves about and observe any applicable legal requirements of
such jurisdiction in relation to the rights offer.
The rights offer shares will not be registered with the US Securities and
Exchange Commission under the US Securities Act of 1933, as amended, the US
Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended or any US state securities laws.
Subject to the approval of the JSE and registration of the rights offer
circular, forms of instruction and other documents with the Registrar of
Companies, as required by Section 146A of the Companies Act (Act 61 of 1973) by
Thursday, 4 June 2009, the salient dates of the rights offer will be as follows:

Last day to trade in Faritec shares in order to Thursday, 11 June
participate in the rights offer
Listing and trading of letters of allocation on the Friday, 12 June

Faritec shares commence trading on the JSE ex- Friday, 12 June

Notes:
Dematerialised shareholders are required to inform their CSDP or broker of their
instructions in terms of the rights offer in the manner and time stipulated in
the agreement governing the relationship between the shareholder and its CSDP or
broker.
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Friday,
12 June 2009 and Friday, 19 June 2009, both days inclusive.
Dematerialised shareholders will have their accounts at their CSDP automatically
credited with their rights and certificated shareholders will have their rights
credited to an account at Computershare Investor Services (Proprietary) Limited.
CSDPs effect payment in respect of dematerialised shareholders on a delivery-
versus-payment method.
The dates above are subject to change. Any changes will be released on SENS.
