TRADING UPDATE - 29th May 2009
In terms of the listing requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), companies are
required to publish a trading update as soon as they are satisfied that a
reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the period
to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from the financial results for the
previous corresponding period. Shareholders are advised that Chrometco is
currently finalising its results for the year ended 28 February 2009 and that
earnings per share for the year then ended is expected to decrease by between
30% to 40% over the corresponding period. Headline earnings per share is
expected to decrease by between 5% to 15% for the year then ended over the
corresponding period. The decrease in earnings is due to the utilisation of an
assessed loss in the comparative period. The financial information on which this
trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by Chrometco`s
auditors.
The company`s results for the year ended 28 February 2009 are expected to be
published on SENS on or about 1 June 2009.
