TRADING UPDATE
In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the
financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by more than 20%
from either the previous corresponding period or from a profit forecast
previously published covering the period to be reported on. Accordingly, a
review of the financial results for the year ended 28 February 2009 by
management has indicated that basic earnings per share and headline earnings per
share of TCS are expected to be between 75% and 95% lower than the profit
forecast for the year ended 28 February 2009 included in the TCS SENS
announcement released on 8 April 2008.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by TCS` auditors. TCS` year end financial results are
expected to be released on SENS on or about 3 June 2009.
