RETRACTION OF SPECIAL DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON TELKOM SA LIMITED HOT ENHANCED
DIVIDEND SECURITIES DATED 28 APRIL 2009 - ("TKGIHE")
With reference to the dividend announcement, made on the 28 April 2009, issued a
subsequent adjustment to the terms and conditions of the Hot Enhanced Dividend
Securities TKGIHE on 22 May 2009.
Accordingly as a result of the adjustment to the terms and conditions, in terms
of which the warrant holders were placed in an equivalent economic position as
prior to the special dividend and notwithstanding anything to the contrary in
the original dividend announcement the warrant holders of the Hot Enhanced
Dividend Securities TKGIHE will not be entitled to receive a Telkom SA Limited
Special dividend of 1900 cents per ordinary share, and accordingly any disbursed
special dividend to the warrant holders shall be reversed.
