SENIOR MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENT
CRG announces that Mr Don Harper has been appointed as CRG South Africa`s Mining
Director. Don is a qualified and experienced Mining Engineer having attained a
qualification from the renowned Western Australian School of Mines, Curtin
University, Kalgoorlie. He is also a holder of a Western Australian First Class
Mine Managers Certificate of Competency.
Don has over 19 years experience in the underground base metal and gold sectors
in Australia. He is a seasoned operator in high speed trackless decline
development and mechanised, narrow vein, stoping mining techniques.
Don has been pivotal in the management and successful development of various
mechanised mining operations including Mt Hogan Gold Mine and Callie Gold Mine,
Pillara and Kapok Lead/Zinc operations. Of particular significance recently has
been his management and leadership in bringing the Radio Hill Nickel and Copper
mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia to fruition.
Don has also held the position of Managing Director of Fox Resources Limited, a
company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, where he was successful in
bringing projects into production with similar challenges to those experienced
by CRG.
Commenting on the appointment, Johan du Toit, CRG`s Chief Executive Officer
said;
"I would like to welcome Don to the executive committee of Central Rand Gold
South Africa, the Group`s operating company. Don brings a wealth of expertise
including high speed decline development and various mechanised stoping methods
that will be invaluable to Central Rand Gold as the Company develops."
