APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD
In compliance with section 3.59 (a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited , notice is hereby given that Mr Shaun Strydom has been appointed, with
immediate effect, as an executive director of the company.
Shaun is a registered chartered accountant with the South African Institute of
Chartered Accountants and also holds a strategic management and corporate
governance qualification from UNISA. Until recently, Shaun was the Head of
Corporate Development and Group Tax at Absa Group involved in various strategic
initiatives across the Group and throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to Absa,
Shaun was a partner at the then Deloitte & Touche corporate finance division, in
which capacity he established and led the Deloitte corporate finance office in
Pretoria and was involved in various key transactions in the market, both in
Africa and internationally. He was also part of the Deloitte pan-African
initiative focusing on growth opportunities on the continent.
The board welcomes Shaun, and believes he will add value to the corporate
strength of the board`s strategic and independent thinking through his
outstanding technical and interpersonal skills, qualifications, vast experience
and his ability to think creatively.
