CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The board is pleased to announce, in line with the vision of the group, as well
as the intention to transfer the listing to the main board during this financial
year, the following changes to the board of directors:
Dr N Mathews Phosa has been appointed as the Non- Executive Chairperson to the
board. Dr Phosa holds an Honorary Doctor of Law degree from Boston University.
He currently sits on the NEC as the treasurer-general of the African National
Congress as well as serving on the platinum and nickel company, Braemore
Resources, as their Non-Executive Chairperson.
Mr. Eugene de Kok will assume the role of a Non- Executive director. Mr. Mike
Garbers will remain active within the group as the Managing Director of Alliance
Data but will step down from the board as an Executive director.
The board welcomes Prof. Dr N Alfred Nevhutanda as an Independent Non Executive
director. Prof. Nevhutanda is a holder of two PhD qualifications and presently
serves as a Director in Muhlava Mining Company amongst others.
The board welcomes Mrs. Matilda Gaboo as an Executive director. Matilda has
worked in the TV and broadcasting media sector across most mediums in different
sectors in South Africa.
Alliance Mining would also like to announce the resignations of Mr. Ben Haumann
and Combri van der Westhuizen, to pursue other interests. The board would like
to thank both Mr. Haumann and Mr. van der Westhuizen for their contributions to
Alliance Mining.
