RESIGNATION OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements shareholders are
informed of the resignation of Mr M Barnes as a representative of Purple Capital
Limited ("Purple Capital") on the board of directors of Cape Empowerment Trust
with effect from 22 June 2009, following the recent disposal of Purple Capital`s
interest in the company. The board thanks Mr Barnes for his contribution during
his time on the board.
