APPOINTMENT OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR
In accordance with recent changes to the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, which require all applicant issuers to appoint a financial director
by 30 June 2009, Standard Bank Group is pleased to announce the appointment of
Simon Ridley, Group Financial Director, to the board of Standard Bank Group
with effect from 30 June 2009. Simon Ridley (53) joined the Group in 1999.
Prior to his appointment as Group Financial Director in January 2009, he was
the Group Chief Financial Officer.
