BUSINESS UPDATE
Alliance Cost Management Services (Proprietary) Limited ("ACMS"), a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Alliance Mining has secured the tender for the
supply of quantity surveying and contract administration services in respect
of the next phase of the Assmang Khumani Expansion Project ("KEP project")
situated in the Northern Cape near the town of Kathu (approximately 200
kilometres North West of Kimberly). The KEP project comprises several works
packages, inter alia, major earthworks, civil construction and engineering
works as well as several structural, mechanical and plate work packages which
ACMS will manage in association with the project execution team. The KEP
project will initially span two years and ACMS expects to benefit to the
extent of approximately R23 million in fees over that time. ACMS has future
opportunities in the pipeline through Dowding Reynard & Associates which is
the appointed Project Manager and consulting engineer for the KEP project.
This is the largest commission ever won on a competitive basis by ACMS which
signifies the successful branding of its services as well as the growth
capability of a young and dynamic cost consultancy.
