ABSA GROUP AND ABSA BANK: RELEASE OF INTERIM FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE SIX
MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2009
Shareholders of Absa Group and Absa Bank are advised that the financial results
for the six months ended 30 June 2009 will be released on SENS and placed on
Absa`s website (www.absa.co.za) on Monday, 3 August 2009. This release will
coincide with the release of the financial results of Barclays Plc, the Group`s
parent company.
A presentation of the Group`s results will be made in Johannesburg at 11:30 a.m.
(South African time). The presentation will also be broadcast live on Summit TV
(DSTV channel 412). Webcast and conference call facilities will be available for
the presentation and the details thereof will be published on the Absa website
prior to the presentation.
Shareholders are also informed that the indicative dates pertaining to the
declaration of Absa Group ordinary and Absa Bank preference share dividends, as
set out in the Absa Group and Absa Bank shareholder reports for the year ended
31 December 2008, will remain unchanged. Full details of the dividends will be
included in the interim financial results announcements.
