TRADING STATEMENT
Normalised headline earnings per share up between 3% and 6%:
City Lodge is currently finalising its results for the year ended 30 June 2009,
which will be released on SENS on or about 13 August 2009. In this regard
shareholders are advised that normalised headline earnings per share, which
excludes the costs and effects of the BEE deals concluded on 28 July 2008, are
anticipated to be between 3% and 6% higher than the previous financial year.
Trading statement:
In terms of rule 3.4(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements, a listed company is
required to publish a trading statement as soon as a reasonable degree of
certainty exists that the financial results for the next reporting period to be
reported on will differ by at least 20% from those of the previous corresponding
period.
In this regard diluted / undiluted headline and basic earnings per share, which
include the costs and effects of the BEE deal concluded on 28 July 2008, are
anticipated to be between 28% and 32% lower than the previous year.
