WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the joint announcement by AFGRI and Sovereign Food
Investments Limited ("Sovereign Foods") dated 15 May 2009 regarding the proposed
reverse listing of AFGRI`s Food division into Sovereign Foods ("the Proposed
Transaction"), the Sovereign Foods` business update and further cautionary
announcement dated 22 June 2009, and AFGRI`s renewal of cautionary announcement
dated 30 June 2009.
Shareholders are advised that as the conditions precedent to the Heads of
Agreement of the Proposed Transaction have not been fulfilled, AFGRI has
formally withdrawn from the Proposed Transaction. As a result caution is no
longer required to be exercised by shareholders when dealing in the Company`s
securities.
AFGRI remains committed to the expansion of the broiler business and will
continue to assess opportunities on a pro-active basis.
