In compliance with section 3.59(b;c) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, notice is hereby given that Mr. Shaun Strydom, a current board member
responsible for Group Risk has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the
company with immediate effect.
Strydom is a registered chartered accountant with the South African Institute of
Chartered Accountants and also holds a strategic management and corporate
governance qualification from UNISA. Until his appointment to Blue`s board in
June this year, he was the Head of Corporate Development and Group Tax at Absa
Group involved in various strategic initiatives across the group and throughout
sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to Absa, Strydom was a partner at Deloitte in audit
and corporate finance.
Blue is in the process of optimizing its board. As a result, Grant Chittenden
stepped down as the financial director bringing a balance to the ratio of non-
executive to executive directors.
In addition to the aforementioned changes, the board is in the process of
identifying an independent non-executive chairperson.
