TRADING STATEMENT
Bell is currently finalising its results for the six months ended 30 June
2009, which should be released on SENS on 11 August 2009. In this regard,
shareholders are advised that a loss of approximately 190 cents per share is
expected compared with the 276 cents earnings per share for the corresponding
reporting period of the previous year. The headline loss per share is
expected to be 191 cents per share compared with the headline earnings of 276
cents per share for the six months ended 30 June 2008.
This loss is largely attributable to the global economic recession. The
effects of the right sizing exercise being carried out by Management will
only yield the full financial impact in the following 6 months to year end.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based is being
reviewed by the Company`s auditors and their report will be available for
inspection at the Company`s registered office from 11 August 2009.
