CHANGE TO THE BOARD
In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements,
shareholders are advised that Mr Farad Kajee has, with effect from 1 August
2009, been appointed as an executive director to the board.
Mr Kajee obtained a B Compt degree and thereafter completed a Master of Business
Administration at the University of Buckinghamshire. Prior to joining Absa
Capital in 2006, Farad spent 5 years at Standard Corporate and Investment Bank
where, amongst other roles, he specialised in developing funding solutions and
balance sheet advisory services for its tier-one corporate client base. He has
worked with IFC and EIB on donor funding in the South African market and was
team member (municipalities) at Standard Bank`s participation in EIB`s Global
Loan Programme. He also performed the role of deal originator for BEE, Private
Equity and Corporate Finance and has extensive knowledge of all investment
banking products. At Absa Capital, he was a senior dealmaker and served as
Investment Banker to some of Absa Capital`s key BEE relationships.
