Notification is hereby given in accordance with the JSE Limited Listings
Requirements (par. 3.59(b)), that Ms. Raisibe Morathi has resigned as an
executive director from the boards of both Sanlam and Sanlam Life Insurance
Limited with effect from 4 August 2009 to pursue other interests. The Sanlam
Board wishes to thank Raisibe for her significant contribution to the Sanlam
Group and bid her well for her future endeavours
