RESULTS OF GENERAL MEETING
Spar shareholders are referred to the announcement published by Spar on SENS
on Thursday, 16 July 2009 relating to the proposed broad-based black economic
empowerment scheme ("the Scheme").
At the general meeting of Spar shareholders held this morning, all ordinary
and special resolutions were passed by the requisite majorities.
The implementation of the Scheme remains conditional upon the registration of
the special resolutions with the Companies and Intellectual Property
Registration Office.
