Trading Statement
In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the
financial results for the current reporting period will be more than 20%
different than that of the prior comparative period.
Further to the above, Brimstone expects earnings per share for the six months
ended 30 June 2009 to be between 47 cents and 48 cents higher than that for the
six months ended 30 June 2008, at between 4.9 cents and 5.9 cents (2008: 42.1
cents loss).
In addition, Brimstone expects the headline loss per share for the six months
ended 30 June 2009 to be between 36.9 cents and 35.9 cents lower than that for
the six months ended 30 June 2008. The headline loss is expected to be between
5.2 cents and 6.2 cents (2008: 42.1 cents).
Shareholders are advised that the above information has not been audited or
reviewed by the Company`s auditors and that the Company`s results for the six
months ended 30 June 2009 are expected to be published on or about 20 August
2009.
