Trading Statement
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised that as a result of improved trading conditions in the South African
poultry industry, Country Bird Holdings expects that its earnings per share for
the year ending 30 June 2009 will be between 52 and 57 cents higher than that of
the previous year and headline earnings per share for the year ending 30 June
2009 will be between 44 and 49 cents higher than that of the previous year.
This trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s
external auditors. The release of the final announcement of results for the
year ended 30 June 2009 is expected to be published on or about 25 August 2009.
