CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, shareholders are advised that Ms. Genevieve L Sangudi has resigned as a
non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 September 2009. The
Board of Directors of Blue ("the Board") would like to thank Ms Sangudi for her
contribution to the Company and wishes her well for the future.
The Board is pleased to announce that Ms Alex-Handrah R Aime has been appointed
as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 September 2009 to
replace Ms Sangudi as the representative of Emerging Capital Partners ("ECP").
ECP is a leading private equity manager focused exclusively on Africa.
Headquartered in Washington DC, ECP has six offices across Africa and a 10-year
track record of successful investment in companies operating in over 40
countries on the continent.
Ms Aime is also a director of ECP, based in Johannesburg and is involved in deal
sourcing, investment appraisal, execution and monitoring. Prior to joining ECP
in 2008, Ms Aime was with Goldman Sachs International ("Goldman Sachs") in
London in the European Special Situations Group where she focused on sub-Saharan
Africa proprietary trading investment opportunities. She was previously in the
Investment Banking Division - Financial Institutions Group where she advised
clients on mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions in the banking,
insurance, and asset management sectors. While at Goldman Sachs, Ms Aime
executed a number of multi-billion dollar deals in the UK, Continental Europe
and emerging markets including Egypt, South Africa, Turkey, and the UAE.
