DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON SHOPRITE HOLDINGS LIMITED HOT ENHANCED
DIVIDEND SECURITIES - ("SHPIHA")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of Shoprite Holdings
Limited have declared a final dividend of 130,0 cents per ordinary share payable
on Monday, 21 September 2009 to ordinary shareholders recorded in the books of
the company at the close of business on Friday, 18 September 2009.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities,
SHPIHA, will receive a Shoprite Holdings Limited final dividend of 130,0 cents
per security payable on Monday, 21 September 2009 in terms of the Cession
clause incorporated in the Supplement between the holders and Investec Bank
Limited. The last day to trade ("cum" the dividend) in order to participate in
the dividend will be Friday, 11 September 2009.
SHPIHA Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend
from the commencement of business on Monday, 14 September 2009, and the record
date will be Friday, 18 September 2009.
