RESULTS OF GENERAL MEETING
Shareholders are referred to the announcement published by Metropolitan on 1
July 2009 and to the circular posted to shareholders on 4 August 2009 ("the
circular"), titled "Proposed amendment to the terms of the black economic
empowerment transaction with Kagiso Trust Investments (Proprietary) Limited".
Shareholders are advised that at the general meeting of Metropolitan held today,
all the resolutions set out in the circular were passed by the requisite
majority of shareholders being a majority in excess of 99% of shareholders
present and entitled to vote. The special resolution will be submitted for
registration at the Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office in
due course.
