LODGEMENT OF A PROSPECTUS WITH THE AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES AND INVESTMENTS
COMMISSION ("ASIC") AND ASX LIMITED ("ASX")
Shareholders are advised that a prospectus for the offer of a maximum number of
100 shares ("offer") was lodged with ASIC and ASX today ("prospectus"). The
purpose of conducting the offer and issuing the prospectus is to facilitate the
secondary trading in Australia of a maximum number of 86,400,000 Gold One shares
("specific issue shares") in terms of a specific issue of shares for cash
("specific issue") for which shareholder approval was obtained at a general
meeting of shareholders held on 26 August 2009. For further information in
respect of the specific issue, shareholders are referred to the announcement
dated 24 July 2009 and to the circular to Gold One shareholders issued on the
same day.
Issuing the prospectus will facilitate the on-sale of the specific issue shares,
based on an Australian Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) exemption from the 12 month
on-sale restrictions which might otherwise apply to the specific issue shares
because they are not being issued under a prospectus.
