TERMINATION OF LISTING ON THE JSE LIMITED ("JSE")
The JSE wishes to advise that the listing of Country Foods Limited ("the
company") will be terminated with effect from the commencement of business on
Monday, 14 September 2009 due to its failure to comply with the JSE Listings
Requirements. The company was suspended on 12 September 2008 at the request
of the directors and the company has had a significant period to rectify the
areas of non-compliance.
The main breaches by the company of the Listings Requirements include inter
alia, the following:
1. The company no longer has the assets that justified the original
listing on the JSE;
2. The company has not produced its provisional annual financial
statements, annual report and abridged report for the period ending
30 September 2008;
3. The company has not produced its interim financial statements for
the period ending 31 March 2009; and
4. The company has not been able to appoint a Financial Director.
The record date to determine the shareholders` register will be Friday, 11
September 2009.
