APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR
In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Finbond
is pleased to advise shareholders of the appointment of Mr. Jack Ernest
Trevena, Finbond`s chief operating officer, as an executive director on 25
August 2009.
Jack`s abbreviated CV is as follows:
BCom, MBL, SLP (Harvard), Fellow of the Institute of Bankers of South Africa
(FIBSA), AIAC, Certified Estate Agent (CEA)- COO
Jack has a distinguished career in Nedbank as an executive responsible for
retail sales, marketing and product management. Jack began his formal
corporate career at Nedbank in 1983 when he joined Nedfin Bank Ltd selling
asset-based finance. He progressed through the ranks to the position of
Assistant General Manager and was responsible for 9 branches based in greater
Gauteng. At the time of Nedfin`s incorporation into Nedbank, he was promoted
to General Manager: Instalment Credit and was responsible for the launch of
the highly successful Nedcredit asset financing product, which revolutionised
the industry. In 1996, he was awarded the Nedcor Banker of the Year award.
After two years in Card Acquiring and having received the Human Resource
Director`s award in 2000, he was appointed CEO: Nedcor Bank Homeloans. In
2003 he formed BondExcel which became a leading mortgage originator in South
Africa.
