APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with Rule 3.59 of the JSE Listing Requirements, the following
information is disclosed:
The Board of Aveng Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of May
Hermanus and Keith Rumble as non-executive directors of the Company with effect
from 9 September 2009.
May Hermanus holds a Masters Science degree in Engineering from the University
of the Witwatersrand and is currently the Director of the Centre for
Sustainability in Mining and Industry at the University of the Witwatersrand.
May was previously a Deputy Director General in the Department of Minerals and
Energy.
Keith Rumble completed a Masters Science degree in Geology (Geochemistry) at
Rhodes University and has 30 years` experience in the mining industry,
culminating in his serving as CEO of Impala Platinum Holdings Limited for 6
years.
The Board looks forward to the contributions Ms Hermanus and Mr Rumble will make
to the affairs of the Company.
