has kept the long-term and short-term national scale credit issuer ratings of
Mercantile Bank Limited, Mercantile`s banking subsidiary, unchanged at A2.za and
P-1.za, respectively. The outlook for both ratings remains stable. The long-term
rating reflects good long-term quality and the short-term rating a strong
ability to repay short-term debt obligations.
