Sir John Parker - Share Interests
In accordance with the terms of Sir John Parker`s appointment as Chairman of the
Company, Sir John has been awarded and therefore now has a beneficial interest
in 31,000 ordinary shares in the Company. These shares were acquired on 15
September 2009 at a price of GBP20.67 per share. The share award will be
released in full on the third anniversary of appointment, subject to Sir John`s
continued Chairmanship. Sir John will invest progressively in Anglo American
over the same period in order to acquire a holding of equal value to the share
award.
The notification of these transactions is to satisfy the Company`s obligations
under the Financial Services Authority Disclosure and Transparency Rules 3.1.2
to 3.1.4.
