Eastern Cape Gambling & Betting Board has announced Emfuleni as preferred bidder
Shareholders are referred to the audited profit and dividend announcement for
the year ended 30 June 2009 released on SENS on 1 September 2009. Further to the
audit opinion report and emphasis of matter included therein in respect of
Emfuleni Resorts (Pty) Limited ("Emfuleni") being successful with its bid for
the new Boardwalk casino licence, RAH is pleased to advise that the Eastern Cape
Gambling & Betting Board has announced Emfuleni as the preferred bidder for the
new casino licence to be issued in the Port Elizabeth-centred Zone 1 of the
Province.
The final award of the licence will depend upon and follow the Eastern Cape
Provincial Government`s sanction of the Gambling Board`s decision, and the
successful negotiation of the conditions to attach to the new licence. The term
of the licence is 15 years, effective from October 2010.
