MEETING AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
REVIEWED FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 28 FEBRUARY 2009
Shareholders are referred to the condensed reviewed financial results for the
year ended 28 February 2009 which were released on SENS on 15 June 2009 and
which contained the following statement:
"The condensed financial statements for the year ended 28 February 2009 have
been reviewed by Ngubane Zeelie Incorporated."
The board confirms that the signed review opinion received from Ngubane Zeelie
Incorporated in respect of the reviewed financial results for the year ended
28 February 2009 was unqualified.
ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 28 FEBRUARY 2009
The company`s auditors have reported to the JSE Limited ("JSE") that an audit
opinion in respect of the annual financial statements for the year ended 28
February 2009 had not been issued by them at the time that copies of the
annual report for that year were delivered to the JSE on 1 September 2009. A
misunderstanding by the company relating to the completion and signature of
the audit report occurred and the company should not have released its annual
financial statements at that time.
Shareholders are advised that changes may be required to the company`s
financial results for the year ended 28 February 2009, which changes are
currently under discussion with the company`s auditors. The directors will
withdraw the annual financial statements for the year ended 28 February 2009,
copies of which were delivered to the JSE only and will issue revised annual
financial statements as soon as possible.
POSTING OF ANNUAL REPORT
The company published an announcement on SENS on 31 August 2009 advising that
the annual financial statements for the year ended 28 February 2009 contained
no material modifications to the reviewed results as previously published and
that the annual report would be posted to shareholders on 1 September 2009.
As a result of possible amendments to the annual financial statements as
mentioned above, the annual report was not posted to shareholders on 1
September 2009.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
As a result of the above, the date of the annual general meeting may change
and shareholders will be advised accordingly.
CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in their Alliance
shares until the revised annual financial statements for the year ended 28
February 2009 have been released.
