TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are
required to publish a Trading Statement as soon as they become reasonably
certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on next, will
differ by more than 20% from those of the previous corresponding period.
The board of directors of Hwange advises that its headline earnings per share
and headline earnings per share for the six month period ended 30 June 2009
are US$0.01 per share. There is no comparative as this is the first time that
the company is reporting in United States Dollars following the introduction
of the multicurrency system in February 2009.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not
been reviewed or reported on by Hwange`s auditors.
Hwange`s unaudited results for the period ended 30 June 2009 will be released
on SENS on 30 September 2009.
