registered as such in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 45
of 2002
DISTRIBUTION FINALISATION ANNOUNCEMENT
1. Distribution
Holders of NewFunds Shariah 40 securities are advised that a distribution will
be made to holders of NewFunds Shariah 40 securities in respect of the quarter
ended 30 September 2009.
This distribution will:
- be 1.00 cent per NewFunds Shariah 40 security comprised entirely of non-
purified dividends (refer to paragraph 2 below);
- be made to all holders of NewFunds Shariah 40 securities recorded in the
register on 25 September 2009; and
- be effected on 21 October 2009.
2. Purification of dividends
The appropriate purification of dividends, through the donation of 5% the of
dividends to charity, is to be effected by each investor.
Absa Islamic Banking`s Shari`ah Supervisory Board (SSB) has provided the
following list of approved charitable institutions. The list is not exhaustive
and it is therefore not obligatory to use one of the specified charities.
