CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with rule 3.59(a) and (b) of the Listings Requirements of the
JSE Limited, notice is hereby given that Mr T Matiwaza has resigned as a non-
executive director of the Company with effect from 31 October 2009. Mr T
Matiwaza represented the shareholding interest of the Mvelaphanda Group
Limited ("Mvelaphanda"). The board wishes to thank Mr Matiwaza for his
contribution and wishes him well for the future.
The board further announces the appointment of Mr Ernst Roth as a non-
executive director of the board, effective 31 October 2009. Mr Roth is
currently Chief Financial Officer of Mvelaphanda. After qualifying as a
chartered accountant, Ernst spent most of his career in public practice and
also worked in the office of the Auditor General of South Africa for three
years. Prior to joining Mvelaphanda, he served as a credit risk monitoring
executive for a bank in South Africa, financial and chief executive officer
of a biochemical company and worked as a financial consultant to Mvelaphanda.
He joined Mvelaphanda in June 2007 as Group Financial Executive and was
appointed as Chief Financial Officer in September 2007.
The board welcomes Ernst to the Company and looks forward to his
contribution.
