PRESS RELEASE
The board of directors of TCS ("the Board") is pleased to announce that the
company has been awarded a material tender from the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan
Municipality to provide it with a traffic contravention management system,
including the supply of camera speed law enforcement equipment, for a minimum
period of 32 months, effective immediately. This award is expected to enhance
the future revenue streams of the company.
The tender involves the supply, implementation, and management of a traffic
contravention management system, where TCS will be responsible for the capturing
and processing of traffic offences for the municipality. TCS was the only
acceptable bidder for this tender and as a result, the Board is optimistic that
the company is in a good position for the future.
TCS provides integrated traffic law enforcement solutions, comprising
technology, proprietary application software and administration services to
local authorities and provincial administrations. TCS currently services 116
municipalities in South Africa, and has developed its products and services for
the imminent roll-out of the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic
Offences Act ("AARTO"), which will replace the current traffic law enforcement
legislation in South Africa. TCS` strategic focus has been to align its systems
with the requirements of AARTO to ensure that its systems are compliant with the
new legislation when implemented nationally.
