TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are advised that UCS expects growth of 22% in revenue to R1.5
billion of which R1.25 billion is from continuing operations. Organic growth
amounts to 9% from continuing operations with the balance attributable to
acquisitions.
Normalised earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation for
continuing operations, excluding foreign exchange translation differences, grew
by 10% in comparison to the 12 months ended 30 September 2008 ("previous
corresponding period").
Headline earnings per share are expected to be between 60% and 70% lower for the
year ended 30 September 2009 than the reported headline earnings per share for
the previous corresponding period while earnings per share are expected to be
between 65% and 75% lower than the previous corresponding period.
The financial information contained in this trading statement has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors. It is anticipated that the
results for the twelve months ended 30 September 2009 will be published on or
about 24 November 2009.
