TRADING STATEMENT
Rainbow`s results for the six months ended 30 September 2009 will be
released on SENS on Thursday, 19 November 2009.
Shareholders are advised that reported earnings, headline earnings,
earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the six months to
September 2009 are likely to be 30% - 40% higher than that of the
corresponding reporting period of the previous year.
The material impact in the prior year of unrealised positions in respect of
financial instruments used in the feed raw material procurement results in
the pre IAS39 earnings for the current period being similar to the previous
year.
This trading statement is issued in compliance with the JSE Limited
Listings Requirements. The financial information on which this trading
statement is based has not been reviewed and reported on by the Group`s
auditors.
