Lonmin Plc (the "Company") announces that it has been advised by Peter Godsoe,
a Non-executive Director, that after eight years of service he does not intend
to seek re-election to the Board when his current term of office expires at
the Company`s AGM on 28 January 2010. Mr Godsoe will therefore retire from
the Board at the conclusion of that meeting.
Roger Phillimore, Chairman of the Board said:

contribution to the development of the Company since 2001. Lonmin has
benefited handsomely from Peter`s knowledge, experience and ability to
