CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, FirstRand advises
the following change to its board:
The retirement of Dr F van Zyl Slabbert as an independent non-executive
director of FirstRand with effect from 25 November 2009.
Dr Slabbert has been a valued member of the FirstRand board since 2001 and
the directors wish him well in his retirement.
