Following the SENS announcement published on 09 November 2009 for the Steinhoff
(ZAE000016176) corporate action titled "Capitalisation Share Award" where
shareholders will either elect a 60c capital reduction or shares, based on the
entitlement ratio of 4 for every 100 shares held. FTSE and the JSE announce
that the latter option, of receiving 4 for every 100 shares held, will be
implemented in the index as follows:
Effective from start of trading on 30 November 2009, Steinhoff shares in issue,
in all the indices that it is a constituent of, will be increased to 1 483 624
380 and the opening price will be determined on the basis that the investability
market capitalisation on 27 November 2009, close of business will remain the
same as 30 November 2009, start of business.
