Shareholders are advised that between 2 - 3 December 2009, Altron Chairman and
Founder, Dr WP Venter disposed of 1 450 000 Altron participating preference
shares on the open market for a total sale consideration of R36.98 million.
These shares representing 0.60% of the total issued share capital of Altron`s
participating preference shares were sold pursuant to a share portfolio
realignment exercise and do not in any way impact upon the Venter Family`s
control of the Altron group which is maintained through the voting ordinary
share structure.
