CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mr John Hannig has been appointed as alternate director to Mr Paul Botha.
Mr Hannig serves as a director of Metier Investment and Advisory Services after
having joined the firm in 2005. He acts as a senior deal executive in the Lereko
Metier Capital Growth Fund ("LMCGF" or "the Fund"), the largest locally funded
South African private equity investment pool. In these capacities he has taken
on investment and advisory roles across listed and unlisted companies as well as
enhancing the strategic research and financial analysis capabilities of the
team.
Mr Hannig currently sits on the boards of a number of LMCGF`s investments in the
security, building and infrastructure industries. He also played a significant
role in the Fund`s investment in Astrapak and has assisted in driving the recent
restructuring at York Timber Holdings.
Prior to joining Metier, Mr Hannig worked for seven years in management
consulting for Gemini Consulting and Accenture. In these roles he worked closely
with senior executives in a number of large scale transformations and
turnarounds. His consulting experience included leading roles in strategy,
information management strategy, process reengineering, research and financial
advisory roles where he gained exposure to a number of different industries
including leading players in utilities, telecommunications and retail.
Mr Hannig has a BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the
Witwatersrand. He also holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town`s Graduate
School of Business and gained additional credits in finance at the London
Business School.
