B.A.T. International Finance p.l.c. ("BATIF") announces today that it has
purchased GBP19,860,000 in aggregate principal amount of its GBP350,000,000
5.750 per cent. guaranteed notes due 2013 issued under its Euro Medium Term Note
Programme (the "Notes").
All Notes so purchased by BATIF will be cancelled.
As at the date of settlement of the purchase of the Notes by BATIF, the
aggregate principal amount of the Notes outstanding and not held by BATIF is
expected to be GBP151,943,000.
This announcement does not constitute an offer to purchase any securities or a
solicitation of an offer to sell any securities.
