Shareholders are advised that on 8 December 2009, Altron Non-Executive Chairman
and Founder, Dr WP Venter disposed of 2 834 169 Altron participating preference
shares on the open market for a total sale consideration of R72.5 million.
These shares representing 1.18% of the total issued share capital of Altron`s
participating preference shares were sold pursuant to a share portfolio
realignment exercise and do not in any way impact upon the Venter Family`s
control of the Altron group which is maintained through the voting ordinary
share structure.
