The Company received notification on 29 December 2009 from the Trustee of the
Lonmin Employee Benefit Trust that the Matched Award granted to Mr Barnard
Mokwena on 22 December 2006 did not vest. In addition, the Trustee has released
150 shares to Mr Mokwena which were acquired by him in December 2006 by way of
investment of deferred bonus monies and which have been held since that time as
part of his beneficial holdings.
