APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD AND CHANGE OF CFO
The board is pleased to announce that Mitesh Mohanlal Patel has, with effect
from 6 January 2010, been appointed as an independent non-executive director of
the company and also as Chairperson of the Audit Committee.
Mitesh is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and has extensive experience in the South
African auditing environment. Mitesh completed his articles with Deloitte &
Touche. In 2007 he was approached by Ernst & Young Inc. where he accepted a
partner position. He then joined Nkonki Inc. in 2008 as a partner/director. He
is the Chairperson of various Audit Committees and also acts as an independent
non-executive director on a number of boards.
Elmarie Maritz has, with effect from 6 January 2010, been appointed as the
company`s Chief Financial Officer. She replaces Kevin Coyle, who was initially
seconded by Grant Thornton to undertake the role of CFO. Elmarie is a member of
the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants.
