FINAL CLOSING DATE OF THE OFFER
Merchant shareholders are referred to the announcements published on 31 October
2008, 13 March 2009, 2 April 2009, 13 May 2009, 15 July 2009 and 8 September
2009, as well as the circular posted to Merchant shareholders on 13 March 2009
in regard to an offer by Marshall Monteagle Holdings Societe Anonyme
("Marshall") to acquire the 30.3% of the issued ordinary share capital of
Merchant that Marshall does not already own.
Notice is hereby given that the closing date of the offer has been not been
extended to beyond 12h00 Friday, 29 January 2010.
FINAL SALIENT DATES

Last day to trade in the Marshalls Shares Friday, 22 January
Shares trade "ex" the Offer Monday, 25 January
Record date for participating in the Offer Friday, 29 January
Closing date of the offer at 12h00 Friday, 29 January
Notes:
Shareholders may not dematerialise or rematerialise their shares between Monday
25 January 2010 and Friday 29 January 2010 , both days inclusive.
CONSIDERATION DATE.
Dematerialised shareholders:
CSDP and/or broker accounts will be updated on Monday 1 February 2010.
Certificated share holders:
New Marshall share certificates will be posted on or about Monday 1 February
2010 to those shareholders who have surrendered their existing Merchant share
certificates by 12h00 on Friday, 29 January 2010.
For any Merchant share certificates received after 12h00 on 29 January 2010, new
Marshall share certificates will be posted within 5 business days of receipt of
All other terms and conditions of the offer remain extant.
A final results announcement will be published once the offer is closed.
