FINAL TIMETABLE FOR ACQUISITION OF THE REMAINING MINORITY SHAREHOLDING IN
MUTUAL & FEDERAL
Further to today`s announcement by Mutual & Federal Insurance Company Limited
("Mutual & Federal") that all outstanding conditions precedent to the
transaction have been fulfilled, Old Mutual plc ("Old Mutual") sets out below
some final salient dates and times in relation to Old Mutual`s offer to acquire
those Mutual & Federal shares not currently beneficially owned by Old Mutual
and/or its subsidiaries, by way of a scheme of arrangement ("Scheme").
Application for the listing of the Scheme consideration shares will be made by
Old Mutual to the relevant exchanges on which Old Mutual is listed.
2010
Last day to trade Mutual & Federal shares on the JSE Friday, 29 January
Limited ("the JSE") and the Namibian Stock Exchange
("the NSX") in order to be recorded in the share
register on the Scheme record date
Date that Mutual & Federal shares are suspended from Monday, 1 February
trading on the JSE/NSX and that trading in the Scheme
consideration shares commences on the JSE/NSX
Scheme record date to determine participation in the Friday, 5 February
Scheme
Operative date of the Scheme and date that trading in Monday, 8 February
the Scheme consideration shares commences on the London
