TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of rule 3.4(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements, a listed company is
required to publish a trading statement as soon as a reasonable degree of
certainty exists that the financial results for the next reporting period to
be reported on will differ by at least 20% from those of the previous
corresponding period.
In this regard diluted / undiluted headline and basic earnings per share,
which include the costs and effects of the BEE deal concluded in the prior
year, are anticipated to be between 103% and 108% higher than the previous
year. The prior year included certain one-off costs in relation to the BEE
transaction.
Normalised headline earnings per share, which excludes the costs and effects
of the BEE deal, are however anticipated to be between 12% and 17% lower than
the previous financial year.
The information on which this trading statement has been based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the group`s auditors.
